I have always been a Monet fan, and while living in Paris, had the opportunity to see some of his original paintings at Musée d'Orsay, L'Orangerie and Musée Marmottan Monet. Although a print would have sufficed, I decided to paint my version of one of his paintings that I fell in love with. The original painting is a 22" x 28" acrylic on canvas.

The painting makes use of Monet's painting to help set the scenery and composition, as well as painted in the neoimpressionist style that I continue to develop and gravitate to.

Textured by the layers of paint applied to the canvas, it helps to give it more depth as well as make the imagery pop and contrast as the there are textured areas and flat areas, all with brush, that provide a unique style that is pleasing to the eye.
