Door County is one of our favorite places to go to get away from the city, and the tranquility and nature make excellent painting subjects. You can walk through the paths up there while on a hike and my wife and I like to adventure through the paths at The Rushes, where her family has gone every year. This painting is inspired by one of those trails while we were up there one September and one of my very first times visiting Door County.
